Jharkhand Anthropological Association (JAA)
The Jharkhand Anthropological Association is the professional association of the amateur and professional anthropologists in Jharkhand, which is a tribal state in India. The society has 67 Life Members. The Mission is to understand man and culture of the Global Human Society. With a vision to provide a platform to anthropologists and develop interdisciplinary cooperation to promote interest and encourage research.
For promoting processes of knowledge generation, it organizes workshops, National seminars and conferences. Regular research projects are part of its activities and has successfully completed a number of research projects. Publication of a journal is on the anvil.
