Prof. K. K. N. Sharma

Prof. K.K.N. Sharma did his M.Sc. (Anthropology) and M.A. (Sociology) and Ph.D. (Anthropology) from Hari Singh Gour Viswavidyalaya (Central University). He is serving as Dean, School of Applied Sciences and Professor In-Charge, Centre for Studies on Indigenous Knowledge. He has been actively involved in teaching and research since 1984. Professor Sharma was a recipient of UGC Research Career Award and Teaching and Research Career Achievement Award (2018), Rashtriya Gourav Award IFS, 2009. He was selected as the Post-Doctoral Fellow and the Post-Doctoral Research Associate by CSIR (Council of Scientific and Industrial Research) and ICMR (Indian Council of Medical Research) respectively. He has organised various national and international conferences on indigenous knowledge, His broad area of specialization is Physical/Biological Anthropology. He is the author/editor of 10 books and he has to his credit 70 research publications in journal of national repute. He has successfully completed many research projects funded by national/state funding agency. As many as 12 research scholars have been awarded doctoral degree under his supervision.
